We are legally limited to fly no higher than 120m(400ft) above the ground and within a range of 500m (1640ft)and line of sight of the UAV pilot. Our Permission for Commercial Operations (PfCO) by the Civil Aviation Authority does however mean that certain other limiting factors that apply to recreational drones do not apply to us which gives us more freedom in where and how we can fly. Flights above 400ft may be possible if additional permission is applied for and granted by the CAA. Whether or not such permission is granted depends on the specific situation and if the CAA can be satisfied that required safety measures are in place and adequate. We are happy to discuss your project needs in order to determine whether additional permissions are required or feasible.
We are certified to fly during day or night hours.
We can fly indoors as well as outside including built up areas as long as we have the right permissions from land owners, council etc and any person within 50 meters of the flight.
The DJI Inspire 2 UAV can be operated perfectly safely as either a two man team(one to pilot and one to operate the camera) or a single pilot operator. Which option is chosen depends on the requirements of each job individually with the ultimate deciding factor being the overall safety of any flight operation. We can provide a secondary monitor for the client/ DP to view what the drones camera is seeing in real time with the ability to instantly replay the footage in situ.

We cannot fly in the rain or winds above 35 kmph(22 mph) which means we may have to re-schedule a shoot to another day at the earliest opportunity. With that said we may well be able to fly between rain showers even on a rainy day.

As well as  aerial video we can also cover any ground aspects using conventional video and stills cameras including indoors with lighting and audio if required. This means we can produce a complete package for those projects that may require more. Any music licencing costs will be added on.

We can provide anything from on location RAW data transfer to a full post production package with a choice of various editing options. Media will be transferred by download link unless otherwise agreed in advance. Media can alternatively be transferred on location to memory stick where editing is not required.

Our standard level of public liability insurance cover is 5m but can be adjusted according to our clients specific requirements for each individual project. This can be up to a maximum of 15m if requested by a client or necessary for the granting of permission to fly by a property or land owner for example. Higher levels of cover above 5m will incur an additional charge which can vary according to location and risk level, as assessed on an individual project basis by our insurers.

GET IN  TOUCH  to discuss your project.

The proposed date and a brief containing as much background information as possible on what you want us to film and photograph.
We will also need to know
  1. The exact location description and postcode of the proposed flight.
  2. Whether or not the landowner has given permission to fly a drone from their property
  3. Whether the permission has been given by any person or owner of property, structure or vehicle that will/may be closer than 50 meters from any part of the flight path of the drone other than at the take off and landing where the distance reduces to 30 meters.
  4. If any such permissions are outstanding we will need to ensure they will be granted prior to the flight.

Site Survey

Our CAA permission to conduct aerial UAV work requires us to carry out a site survey prior to any flights. We check a number of location specific safety factors in order to comply with regulations and also ensure we are happy to go ahead too. We can do this online initially but may also need to physically visit the site to fully determine whether flights can go ahead there or not. There may be situations where its not possible to fly at a location legally.

Booking & Deposit

If the result of our site survey is positive we will send you a quote with a detailed brief of the shoot, provisional date and costs.
If you are happy with our quotation, we may then arrange a physical site visit to discuss any final arrangements if necessary.
We operate a provisional booking system with a firm shoot date been agreed when we have received a 25% deposit.

We monitor the weather forecast 5 days in advance of any shoot.  If the signs are not good we talk to the client 48 hours prior to the shoot.
At this point we will reschedule the shoot to the next suitable date at no additional cost and the booking deposit is transferred to the new date. Weather is a know business risk in the UK, so we have to be as flexible as possible to ensure that bookings can be rearranged.
If the shoot cannot be re-scheduled due to factors out of the control of both parties we offer a 50%  refund of the initial deposit.
If both parties have agreed to stay with the original date and we have bad weather, our pilots will wait on site as long as possible in the hope of a break in the weather.
If we arrive on site and are unable to shoot on the day we will charge in full, but offer clients a 25% discount off the price of the second shoot on the follow up date.

If the client cancels the shoot, the 25% deposit will not be refunded.
